Freddie Who?

If you search youtube for "Freddie Slack,  the video with the most views is this one.  At a lowly 57,000 views, it shows how obscure a figure Freddie is.  The song, Down The Road A Piece, is perhaps the most well known song related to Freddie.  The Will Bradley Band was around from 1939-1941, and in that time achieved superstardom, for the times.  Here we find some of the roots of Hip language and sensibilities. 

The song was covered by The Rolling Stones in 1965, the year Freddie died.  The Stones version has 63,000 views.... Compare for yourself.....
